SIMON RAYMONDE "BLAME SOME ONE ELSE" LP 1997

muscle & want

maybe i should have acted like a sun, made out of my trouble light and made hours for
you and i. upon you i should have spread heat and weight and
the poignant utopia of love. and i should have ordered the sequence of moments
and knit your body of delights together with the thread of my memory and my desire
and my forgotten life. but now i'm speaking to myself only and i'm saying slowly,
so lay down and speak for yourself and wish that inside,
it is spectacular inside, always it is inside, remaining.
this story is a conscience a consummation of muscle and want of likeness and trueness,
this is a romance.

worship me

All this time in a room
just to get a picture of you.
Why we're here once again,
heaven only knows.

Worship me,
 I'm the one
who can turn things upside down.
 Believe in me,
 in what I see,
Kings and fools will have there day.

Hear them knocking at your door again,
'til it's in me once again, i'll listen, i'll listen

Close your eyes
All they want is
just to take a picture of you

Fame and Fortune
Once again
Heaven only know

Here he comes the one you've all been waiting for
Worship me,
I'm the one
who can turn things upside down.
We will give you all that you require
Believe in me
 in what I see,
Kings and fools will have there day.

We will pray
(We will pray)
For You
You, and your fame.....

have you found what you were looking for
Worship me,
I'm the one
who can turn things upside down.

Did the Earth move all the bush's flowers
Believe in me
in what I see,
Kings and fools will have there day.

Did you want to save today
Kings and fools will have today

Well I'm not I'm not sure
Not sure who looks beau

a fault of mine

I'm coming back today
We've both got so much to say
It's always the same -
we have to start all over again

Days and days of nothing at all
except banging my head
against the wall

CHORUS:

A fault of mine tends to be
reacting inappropriately
A fault of mine tends to be
crying unnecessarily

If I were awake tonight
lying against a window light
thinking of you and me
excited and scared of how it will be

Days and days of nothing at all
except banging my head
against the wall

A fault of mine tends to be
reacting inappropriately
A fault of mine tends to be
crying unnecessarily

I hold you in my arms
I'm rife with fear
to tell you the things
I can't bear for you to hear

I lied to myself:
"I won't be hurting you"
Life's contradiction
It's sad but true

A fault of mine tends to be
reacting inappropriately
A fault of mine tends to be
crying unnecessarily
